When the fantasist delusions of Jason Arday came to light he sadly committed suicide. A sad but predictable end to a bourgeois academic elevated to his position based on bourgeois racial grievance politics to negate class consciousness.

Perhaps a better route for Arday was to acknowledge his mediocrity and fantasist delusions, apologise for them and explain how he got addicted to the brief high a lie creates and state it was something he was working on. His lies were bad that is true. He likely would’ve been mocked for his entire life, that is also true.
But genuinely changing a different direction in his life he could’ve acknowledged how he got swept up in the dopamine addiction of “lies”. He could’ve genuinely committed himself to a radical honesty. Freeing himself of any delusions.
Jason Arday was only 41, by the time he was fifty it could’ve been something he looked back on and laughed. Even providing a moral lesson to his children. The Christian adage, We are all fallen creatures and imperfect, is more or less correct. Most people have been swept along by their own lies or vices at some point in their lives. Most people would’ve found his acknowledgement and apology courageous.
Unfortunately, he took the cowards way out and deprived his children of a father and his wife of a husband.
